GM Kids! What is going on with everyone? We are going to walk across the street from the hotel in a little while and share an omelet then we are going to drive to Baraboo and go to Blane's Farm and Fleet. They have some Christmas light strings that we want to get. There are these lights that have LED lights in them that are so bright. We have been seeing them up here for years and never knew where to get them. The manufacturer listed Blane's as a source to purchase them. Baraboo has a really cute downtown business area that is an old fashioned square around the old courthouse with neat shops and boutiques.  Other than that we probably will lay low today and do some walking around the area or downtown Dells in the residential area. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. We had rain last night. I understand you all might get some snow in the IL area.  We are just far enough north that it is going to miss us. Take care. Christine

Morning, all!  Happy Pre-Turkey Day!   Well, this morning's weigh in at home was good.  I am now under the 275# mark!  I have lost 14 since the day of the surgery!  On the job front, I really like my new job...good people to work with and this is a great week to get started here since we have Thurday and Friday off and we get out a little early today.  I have the fixings at home to make the pumpkin fluff to bring with me for tomorrow and will also bring some soup.    It's gonna be rough though, my sister has a 7 hour food fest planned...

George! Good to hear from you and about the fantastic weight loss so far. Yeah you have a little added bonus starting a new job this week with being sprung from work early. That pumpkin fluff sounds good, enjoy. Christine

Good morning Christine and George. I had an early morning meeting at work and luckily it finished early! YAY!! George, congratulations on your weight loss . I was so busy yesterday with my cleaning.. I am happy to say that all that is left is to wash the kitchen and bathroom floors. I'll do that today after all my appointments. Then it's pretty much girly stuff, removal of nail and toe polish and removal of hair from legs, etc... I got a call from the surgicenter yesterday afternoon. I have to be there at 6 a.m. The limo service is not free, costs $150.00. Willow offered to drive me to the surgicenter. What a great friend I have! I'll be thinking about making things easy access at home so that I don't have to stoop down for things in the kitchen and bathroom. I've got good protein stuff at home so I'll be okay. I'm working tomorrow and Friday. Going to my mom's for Thanksgiving dinner. I hate the snow!! Later this morning, I'm off to see Dr. Madry for my pre-op visit and to pay for the surgery. Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Lucy

Good Morning Lucy, George, Christine and the rest of IL. I had my first fill yesterday...I can't feel much yet I think I was just expecting a really dramatic change right away, but thats ok, its still early for me. I'm the only person that showed up to work today (other than one Regional Manager) so Im hoping I get to skip out early. I think I am going to buy an elliptical for myself this weekend. Get my exercise on I hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Kristen. I have an elliptical and it is a good workout. I didn't want to have the lap band because I hate needles, even though it goes through a port. Soon I will be headed over to my plastic surgeon's office for my pre-op visit and then back to work. I also have a beauty shop appointment this afternoon. My house is almost done.. just have to wash the kitchen and bathroom floors. They really need it! I am so exhausted! Can't wait for the extra sleep on Saturday morning although it is drug induced. I am working tomorrow and Friday to rap things up at work since I don't have any assistance in my office. Take care Kristen. Hope you feel the fullness soon. Lucy

We are going to Kalahari for brunch. I know you say BRUNCH? Yes, we have done it for the last 3 years now. It might be a waste of money for us but we really concentrate on just protein and a little Thanksgiving staples like a smidge of potatoes and a taste of pumpkin pie. We sit there and enjoy the decorations in the banquet room, take pictures and walk around looking at the ice sculptures and how they have the food presented. We can still enjoy how it is all displayed and let it be a feast for our eyes. For the rest of the weekend we will get together with some of my family that has a summer place up here about 35 miles north of the Dells. It is really close to where my folks retired near Adams/Friendship. Though my folks are deceased now my brothers and my sister we still own the property. Chris

Good Morning IL - Today is going to be a very long day for me.  With today being the busiest pie sell day of the year, I will be working until 1ish tonight.  I bet I get plenty of exercise.  Tomorrow will be another busy day at the restaraunt then I'm on a leave of absence until further notice because of my feet.  First surgery is next Friday, not sure when the second foot will be done. I have a ton of work to do at home this weekend.  Clean the house, organize the basement, put up Christmas decorations and if I have time, pull up the carpet in the basement.  I want to try to get all my holiday stuff in order since I really have no idea how long this foot is going to keep me down. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! Christina
