Monday Roll Call
Thanks for your message Monica. It brought tears to my eyes.
I am very tired and emotional today. Wednesday is the anniversary of my father's death. He died in 1999 and I miss him so much. I can vividly remember that day.
I am so glad and fortunate to have you and my other friends here on the IL board.
Hugs,
Lucy

Good Morning Monica and the rest of Illinois!
Lucky you to have a day off!!!! Yes, he should have told you sooner so that you could plan, but be happy that the weather looks like it will be pretty decent and you don't have to work!!! I have sent up a prayer for Tyler to be "no big deal" at the doctor.
I am at work, and my computer is still sick. NEVER sign up to do a Beta Test!!!!!!! We signed up to Beta test UPS's new software and it was not compatible with another program and now I can't use either of those programs and am waiting for UPS to send a techie out to fix it! Luckily, I can so a little bot of other work, but it sure does cramp my work style.
Oh well, I am leaving around 11 to take my son to a doctor's appointment in Monroe, and I am NOT planning on coming back here.....they can figure it out by themselves!
On another note: GO DAKOTA!!!!!! The football team advanced to the semi-finals and face Orion next week. If they win, they will play in the State Championship for class 2A. I can't believe how many people were there and how crazy they all were. I was in the concession stand shoveling popcorn for 3.5 hours---remind me NEVER to do THAT again!
I am very happy to hear that our newbies are doing well for the most part. Mendy sounds like she is doing fantastic and Martha is feeling better. Pam, Kristen and Lisa all seem to be getting back to "normal". JanetH is doing better and I am sure Janet1963 will be better soon. I hope she got her issues checked out........ Has anyone heard from George? XRaychk?Who am I missing?
I'd better get back to work, as it is.......
Everyone have a lovely day!
Morning Dawn. Did Olivia have a great time at White Pines? Is that where she caught the cold? I hope no one else gets it!
Sorry you had to work today...lol I really thought I did too, but I guess the boss has other plans. The sucky part is that I don't get paid for it.
GO DAKOTA!!! Good luck to them!!
Well, although I didn't get the day off of work, I did start this monday of with a bang. ONEDERLAND! I stepped on the scale and I weigh 198 lbs! I have lost 36 pounds since my April 27 surgery. I am having friends over tonight for a Lia Sophia Jewelry party and I am gonna treat myself to something pretty for my accomplishment!
Howdy all - I can't believe it -- tomorrow is my day.
What a year it has been to get here...I started this journey in January making up my mind to get the procedure. I went to Dr. Kane's seminary in February and first saw the Nutritionist on March.
July I lost my job, September marked my 6 month point with the nutritionist and I had only had one interview up to that point and I was denied by both of my insurers.
The first half of October was better, I had more interviews, I got approved by both insurers after appealing.
The end of October was even better, with even more interviews and getting the surgery scheduled.
November has been awesome! I have two job offers in hand, a possible third one (if they get off of their ass) and my surgery is tomorrow.
All that being said, I am enthusiastic and nervous all at the same time.
On a side note - hot long should it take before 'results' happen after taking the Magnesium Citrate? It's been 3 hours and nothing as of yet....
