Update on Baby Lincoln
We were very fortunate-the echocardiogram gave the docs all the info they needed, so he did NOT need the angiogram. He will, however, have major open heart surgery this Friday,no word on what time yet. They will close the valve that should have closed at birth, but has been kept open w/the shunts so he can recieve oxengynated blood, close the hole in the wall of his heart and repair or replace the valve that did not open to bring in blood from his lungs. Very big, very long procedure-he will be on a bypass machine for at least 4-5 hours. We are hoping that a room opens up at Ronald McDonald house soon , for his parents, as my niece is sleeping in recliner in his room and dad is in the waiting room. Since he's on constant O2 now, he is much improved and spends his waking hours pulling off any sensor he can and grinning when the nurses come running from the alarms! He definitely has some of my blood in him! Again thank you so much for all your prayers and inquiries and my niece asked me to thank you too. She is very touched by so much kindness from people she doesn't know (except for the 2 Chris's who she say****o). They can attest to what a cutie he is! Have a good evening- everyone post-op get better and Good Luck tomorrow Gina-Hugs to all-Janet K
