Good CD's for walking/running on the treadmill
I'm looking for suggestions from my OH family... I'm on the hunt for a training CD for walking/running on the treadmill. I don't know if they make them or even if this is what I'm looking for but I think what I'm looking for is something that tells me to kick it up to level 5 for 10min, then back down to 3 for 5min then up to 4.. Does that makes sense? I know they have the outdoor walking CD's which I've never listened to and don't know that they would do what I'm wanting them to do. Also.. Can you use DVD's in a CD players just as audio?
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help! Christina
Christina, In shape magazine there used to be a section that would give you songs to download and they would tell you what your workout should be. example:
Faith hill xyz - 4:30 slow walk to warm up
Tim Mcgraw abc- 5:20 walk at 5.0 ect........ I think your looking for something that is already put together though. I haven't listened to it, but I know that they have the Biggest Loser cd out w/ all there songs. And to ansewer your question...yes you can listen to cd's on a dvd player in just audio!

Thanks Kim - Good to see your smiling face this morning. I thought you could do the DVD as audio. We are so behind times. Don't really have much time to watch tv that often so we do not even own a DVD player!
I always felt funny buying "healthy" magazines being obese. Just another head game of mine. Kinda like ordering a double quarter pounder supersized with a diet coke. LOL I will check out the magazine. Thanks and have a great day! Christina
My most recent love (renewed love that I have been listening to for years) is Robin Mark, Revival in Belfast. He is a christian artist (contemporaty) from Ireland. This one and his Shout to the North have fantastic beats to them that really gets you walking fast and faster. I like both for the eliptical also. I also like another contemp. artist called Tommy Walker. He is out of California and his music really is upbeat also. His Never Gonna Stop album is great. I also like The Brothers Four and the Kingston Trio folk music. Very snappy beat with the bango and guitars. I downloaded most of my fav music to my new Sony MP3 player. I always have it at hand for the gym. Dave does not know if you can play the DVD on a CD player for the audio only. Give it a whirl. If your computer has a DVD player you can listen to those speakers if it is close by your work out area. CB
