Need help with pureed foods
I have some questions. My surgery is in 3 weeks. So I am doing some food prep now and freezing it. Tonight I pureed chicken with lowfat gravy and added some buffalo wing sauce for flavoring. It did't have any fat but I thought that it would add some flavor. I thought that once I heated the chicken puree I could top it with 1/4 cup of lowfat cheddar cheese, like my info packet suggested. Do you think that the hot sauce is ok? It is really not that hot.
Also, I had cottage cheese. Any suggestions for lunch? And how much cheese can you have in one day? I think that pureed meet is only tolerable with cheese mixed in it. Otherwise I will have to find something entirely different to have for lunch because I hate cottage cheese and tuna. Tuna makes me ill, and it smells like cat food. Any suggestions? Please help.
