Need help with pureed foods

I have some questions.  My surgery is in 3 weeks.  So I am doing some food prep now and freezing it.  Tonight I pureed chicken with lowfat gravy and added some buffalo wing sauce for flavoring.  It did't have any fat but I thought that it would add some flavor.  I thought that once I heated the chicken puree I could top it with 1/4 cup of lowfat cheddar cheese, like my info packet suggested.  Do you think that the hot sauce is ok?  It is really not that hot.

Also, I had cottage cheese.  Any suggestions for lunch?  And how much cheese can you have in one day?  I think that pureed meet is only tolerable with cheese mixed in it.  Otherwise I will have to find something entirely different to have for lunch because I hate cottage cheese and tuna.  Tuna makes me ill, and it smells like cat food.  Any suggestions?  Please help.  Thanks

You really need to check with your doctor's office about the hot sauce because it might be too harse on your new insides. It has pepper (even though it is well buried and really smooth, not grainy) in it and that could cause an irritation. There are other canned meats you can buy and puree'. Do you have a microwave at work? Think of some foods that you can bring already prepared and reheat them. As far as what you should eat that really needs to be answered by either the doc's or NUT's office. You really want to stay on program when you are early PO. Chris
