Ok, I'm excited but ancy.  I started by pre op diet and feel drained and bored.  I can't wait for the next few weeks to fly by.  But they won't.  I am so emotional also.  I cry everyday now.  I think I just can't believe that this is real.  I've waited so long, and I've been in so much pain.  The end is in sight. What will I hold on to now that my best friend, food, is gone?   Does anyone have suggestions on what to bring to the hospital?  Maybe I will pack my bag.  I need something to do to keep me busy.  I've bought some books to read, but at this point I can't seem to settle down enough to sit still.   My mom would say patience is a virtue.  I've never had patience a day in my life.  I know that God wants what is best for me.  I will keep my eyes on him.   Janet

Hi, Janet Congrat on getting your surgery date, I am still waitting on the Ins. comp to give me a answer. I not sure about all the stuff for the Hospital but you will want some chapstick, and I have heard some people say a fan because the rooms are very warm sometimes, and your pillow, and very loose fitting clothes for when you leave the Hospital, but I am sure some of the other ladys on here have a list of thing to bring, good luck with you surgery.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Thanks.  I hope you hear from you insurance very soon.  I will be praying for you.  I need to put my picture up and add you to my friend's list.  But I'm not very computer saavy as my kids are.  I will get around to it.  Thanks for the great tips.  This is our year!

Hi-Janet-FYI as one who knows-CDH will not allow fans in the room.  They say they carry too many airborne germs.  Just bring comfy slippers, toiletries, toothbrush etc.,hairbrush,if you want ,a mirror as the patient tables don't have them.  I was an emotional wreck before my surgery too, it's normal. Try to focus on the goal and picture the new you.  You'll be comfortable at CDH-everyone on the surgery floor is great.  I think my surgeon, Dr. Altimari assists Dr. Klem w/bariatrics and he is a cutie!  And just as sweet as he is cute!  Keep us posted on your progress and keep in touch-we're here to help.  Hugs-Janet K

Hi Janet - I am feeling ancy too, my date is Nov. 8th. I'm trying to focus on everything I will be able to do after surgery. I'm checking out different exercise programs. I had a friend recommend Windsor Pilates. I also searched online for a good weight loss tracker chart or food/protein tracker/chart.  Mendy
