STEP BY STEP,,,,,,,,,
I HAD MY APPT. WITH DR. HART THE PULMONARY GUY. HE WAS VERY KIND AND TOOK TIME TO ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS. HE SAID EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD. HE IS CONCERNED ABOUT SLEEP APNEA ALTHOUGH HE SEES NO REAL SIGNS OF ME HAVING IT..ACCECPT FOR SNORING. SO HE SENT ME HOME WITH THIS WRIST BAND TO MEASURE MY OXYGEN WHEN I AM ASLEEP. IF I FAIL IT I NEED TO GO FOR SLEEP STUDY IF I PASS IT THEN I JUST NEED SURGERY DATE.
I ALSO WENT TO SEE THE DIETICIAN. THE VISIT WAS VERY REWARDING. I SURELY LEARNED SO MUCH IT WAS VERY EDUCATIONAL. HER NAME WAS KATHY SHE WAS AWESOME. WE WENT OVER ALL THE WEEKS FOLLOWING THE SURGERY OF PRO'S AND CON'S. I FEEL VERY AT EASE AND HOPEFUL BUT I AM TAKING THIS ONE STEP AT A TIME. I PRAY IT GOES SMOOTH.
Well I am shocked and amazed. You are SO lucky-that man is usually so negative and rude it's unbelievable. He had me in tears- I almost cancelled my surgery he had me so scared. None of his nurses like him, they all walk on eggs around him. I call him Dr. Doom. You must have had an angel on your shoulder-good luck w/your wrist band test. It looks like before you know we'll be making room for two more on the loser's bench! Hugs-Janet K
Like Janet said, you got lucky with Dr Doom. That is not like him to be nice, he must have been having an "off" day. That man is nothing like his name says (Hart-heart) he is just gloom and doom. He gave my husband a really hard time about WLS surgery. To the point of making him feel that he was a failure because he could not loose weight on his own. He almost did not approve my DH for surgery and Dave practically had to beg him to be approved.
