Is this too fast?

Hi again. I just posted today about getting started and well I got an appointment to see Dr. Gilman in Decatur on October 31st. This is just 21 days away and I never expected anything that quick even if it is just a first appointment. Is this unusual? They are sending me all the paperwork to have filled out before the appointment. The only thing they told me that is a slight issue is that Medicaid won't pay for my psych eval. and of course I have to have that. They said it would be between $300- $500. Has anyone had Dr, Gilman do their surgery or does anyone know anything about him?? This is just a little less than 3 hours away from me so it will be a but of a drive but could be worse. I am both excited and scared! Thanks, Angie

I don't think it's that unusual.  I think your timing was just good. When I started out, I went to a seminar on a Saturday morning. Called to request a consult with the surgeon the following Monday and met with him a week later. So it's all a matter of timing I guess. Good luck!
