Will you be meeting with a dietician or nutricionist before your surgery?  If so, they will give you all the details. If not, your doctor's office should be able to give you a hand-out that outlines the different stages of re-feeding after surgery. Start there.  You should follow your doctor's procedures.  I know that you will get lots of different opinions on the protein powder.  Everyone has their favorites.  Mine is Isopure :-)

don't go crazy getting alot because your taste will change . I bought a ton of the isopure ready made drinks and after could not tolerate it at all. I drink the syntrax nectar  I like fuzzy navel and cappuccino apple is OK but gets old fast!! good luck to you on your journey!!!!
