Ok I've never started one before. I don't have any special plans today except work.

I am not up todate on everyones doings since I wasn't on much the last two weeks.

I do hope everyone is doing well.

Ok I know there are some lurkers out there come on and ask your questions we will try to answer them. We have all been in the begining stages so we know there are questions some you may feel are "dumb" really they are'nt.

Just a personal note my "step" dad passed away on the 26th at 9:40 pm. I was there with hiim and my family at his time of passing. He is out of pain now and in a better place. Thank you to everyone for your prayers.

Karen

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Hi Karen, I am so sorry for your loss. I have no big plans for today.  But I am going for an afternoon of pampering.  Getting my hair colored, cut and also getting  a peticure.  What a way to kill an afternoon :-)
Regards and hugs,

Ronna

Good morning Karen and Illinois! Karen, sorry to hear of your loss, but he is better off.  It is us that stay behind that have the hardest part.

I am back to work today, and have been a bit busier than usual lately.  I finally got caught up on my board reading.  Congratulations Lisa on your date!

I had a nice weekend.  Baby Riley was out with us on Saturday, and we all went to a big rummage sale and picked up a few bargains, then we went for lunch and ice cream.  Then, home for naps.  We had a nice fire in the back yard on Saturday night with the neighbors and some hot dogs.  (I love to cook the hot dogs, but I don't care about eating them.  Riley didn't much care for it either.)

Yesterday, I went to Wal-Mart to pick up a bunch of things for the house, then cleaned, then we barbequed.  I always cook enough meat for most of the week when I grill so now I only have to throw a few things together after work for dinner. Does anyone have any experience with the Special Education laws for schools?  I asked David's school to test him again to see if he has any kind of learning disability and they are refusing because his test scores are so high.  I KNOW that he is super-intelligent, but he still struggles to complete his work and is very frustrated. So, I will keep fighting to get him the help that he needs, and in between, I will work.  (hehehehe) I hope everyone has a lovely day!

Dawn, could David have Aspergers??   A very high form of autism?  They are super smart, but struggle in school with those things that you mentioned.   Good luck with getting help from the school, I sure hope they listen to you!

It's funny that you would say that.  I have thought about it for years and years when dealing with David.  I'm not sure who to ask to test him for that.  I have mentioned it a few times to his various doctors, but have never gotten a clear answer.  I was hoping that the school would have that test. I wrote 3 letters yesterday, to the principal, superintendent and school board.  Maybe now they will listen. Thanks for the support!

Karen, I am so sorry for your loss.  This is #4 that I have heard of last week alone.  My boys great grandfather on my ex's side, my sister in law's grandma, my best friends brother in law and now your step dad.  They must be having a ball together up in Heaven that's for sure! Your entire family is in my thoughts and prayers. Today I just worked, long hours, but I finished the job that I was working on!  yay.  Now I am just sitting here catching up on computer stuff til it's time to go and get Tyler....tonight I watch Journey Man! That's all folks!

Karen, so sorry for your loss with your step dad. Well, we are back home and still in the process of catching up on our rest. We did not have a really physical weekend or had late hours but we had a lot of emotional and thought provoking information "fed" to us while at Moody. We met a lot of great people in the process and the students at Moody are the cream of the crop. Great kids that are being equiped to go out into the world and further the work that Jesus Christ started on this earth. We rubbed shoulders with some heavy weights in the christian world including authors, president of the institute, radio personalities, professors etc. The live radio show is an experience that I will never forget 'til my dying days. And later in the day we were given a tour of the radio studio. Work was not too busy today, just minor things to attend to after being gone for 4 days. It is great to be home. Chris
