Hey Martha - You will do just fine..  just take a deep breath.  All the emotions you are feeling are very normal.  I personally was really amazed at the little pain I was in.  Don't get me wrong, you are going to be uncomfortable and have pain but but I had thought it was going to be 10x worse then it really was.  You're going to be a loser in less then 24hrs!!!!!!!  YYYIIIIPPPEEEE  SSSKKKKIIIPPPEEEE     (that's all of your oh family doing the happy dance w/ ya!) Dear Martha: You will do very well, I'm sure.  I had pain, but it was really not too bad, just the biggest one (about an inch) on the left, bothered me the most, and even that only lasted a few weeks.  It will be a very dim memory before you know it.

Congratulations on taking charge of your life and health!

Thank you all very much... Today I am on here alot and looking for those great words of encouragement ... You all have made me feel much better. I am so happy I have friends on here and people I can turn too, My husband is not a very supportive type and I have been feeling all alone. Thank you all so much... Love Martha

Hi Janet!  How are you feeling sweetie?  I have not seen much posting from you so I'm guessing your doing what your supposed to be doing... laying low and letting the bod heal.

You got it!  I can't go too far on my O2 tether, but I escape now and then and check on the real world! The nurse just left and said the crater may be ready for a wound vac, which will close the hole.  It is a really good healing tool, but looks like heck.  Time to swallow pride and avoid mirrors! I still get winded on exertion and I am going nuts on these steroids!  I need a fill so badly, and I am about ready to stalk Miss Mittens w/shish kebab skewers!  I hate them!  I could eat wallpaper paste! There, I'm done- off the pity pot and back to the couch!  How did things go w/Calvin?  Call later if you have a spare moment.  Hugs to you back--Janet
