Walmart carries 100% whey protein powder that I have found is no diffrent than the stuff I am buying from the local health food store.  The nutrition is almost the same and teh cost is 1/2.  My next can of protein power will be that. Good luck, on Wed! Greg

Hi Martha, Wednesday will be here before you know it!!!!  And it's normal to be nervous, after all you are human, LOL.  Just try focusing on the end you have in mind.  A healthier, happier and yes, thinner Martha! I'm a big fan of the Isopure products.  Right after surgery I used their Zero Carb in the premixed bottles.  Each 20 oz bottle had 40 grams of protein.  I would mix the Alpine Punch flavor half and half with Crystal LIte Lemonade and sip it all day long.  It was pretty good. Later, when I could hve milk based products I started (and still use) the Isopure Low Carb Dutch Chocolate powder. I mix one scoop (1/2 a serving) of the powder with 1 cup of Hoods Calorie Countdown Chocolate Milk and about 6 ice cubes and mix it up in my Magic Bullet.  It makes the thickest, yummy shake.  And I'm a chocolate fanatic so this helps quence any cravings for chocolate that I have. You can get them at the Vitamine Shoppe, either in the store or online.  GNC also carries it but they are much more expensive. Best of luck and I will be thinking of you on Wednesday.
Regards and hugs,

Ronna

Dear Martha: I have to agree with Greg.  The "Body X Fortress" whey protein powder from Wal-Mart is fine.  I used it in both chocolate and vanilla from the time I got home.  You can always add things to vary the flavors.

I now have been trying some from online sources and I really like the IDS Multi-Pro Belgian Chocolate.  I can get a 5 lb. tub for $35.99, which breaks down to $7.20 per lb., just about the same price as Wal-Mart's and it is a bit creamier.  I also like the Matrix brand (again, online) that also comes in a 5 lb. bag for about the same price. Good luck tomorrow, I am wishing you an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery!

Tell someone that you love them!
