20 minutes ago Published It's been 3 days'now....each day I feel better & stronger. Unfortunately, Dr Ayloo couldn't repair my hernia with the incisions she made for the band so I have 10 incisions instead of 5. Maybe that increases my discomfort. I hurt the most when I get up & down. I have tylenol#3 prescribed but I choose to lay off of it...makes me feel weird.I have no appetite! It's hard for me to get the liquids down! Nothing tastes good. I did lose 18 lbs on the pre-op liquid diet! Yeah for me. That makes it 60lbs gone! I didn't have to stay the night in the hospiyal but almost did. I had trouble with anesthesia. My b/p & o2 sat would'nt perk back up.Surgery lasted about 2.5 hours{I think} thanks to that &%$# hernia. The drive home wasn't too bad, though my hubby drove thank God it was late & no traffic.I came home with a UTI. Nothing new to me! I got antibiotics for that. I'm just trying to rest. My babies don't understand they can't jump & cuddle me. Well I better go rest. Be the first to leave a comment.

Glad you are feeling some better, just take it easy and don't over do it, and make sure you are drinking your water,  just think you are on the losing side now. that is so great,  congrats on you 60lbs lost, you are just that much more closer to your goal.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Hi Lavonna - Glad to hear your home.  Each day will get better.  Just take things one day at a time.  Also, don't get freaked out over not being able to get all your liquids in, just do the best you can.

Glad you checked in. Christina

Glad to hear you are home.  It took me about a week to start using my liquid vicodin only at night.  My surgeon had hit a blood vessel when he sewed my port into place so I had a little more pain associated with that than most Lap Bands do.  I am lucky that my daughter is 10 so she understood that she couldn't cuddle with Mom.  She compensated by just hovering and making sure Mom was ok. Being a single Mom, I was also lucky enough to have such supporting parents that they took my daughter and I in until I was feeling well enough to go home by myself.  I stayed with them for the first week.  I also had trouble getting my fluids in at first.  Had to watch the clock to make sure I was drinking when I should be.  As everyone says it will get better.  Just take things a day at a time.

Shelley
