Friday Roll Call

Good afternoon Illinois! I have not fallen off the face of the Earth, just trying to get everything done before I go into the Hospital (3weeks!!). I am planning on just relaxing on Sat. then I will be going to early chuch service on Sunday, so can make it to the "meet & greet" on Sunday.  I am really excited to meet all of you in person.  Everyone is so friendly and supportive on here.  I just feel extraordinarily blessed.  (AAAWWWW Gushy moment!)

I do work this evening until 11.  But then I have a 3 day weekend.  I get to do my pre-op testing on Monday.  chest x-ray,  gallbladder ultrasound, EKG, Upper GI, bloodwork.... Thats my "fun" day off!  I am excited..... one step closer to the loser's bench!

I sure a rough time getting to work yesterday.... I-39 northbound was closed.... ALL DAY due to an accident and small chemical spill.  I was 40 mins late to work, because I had no idea and just got caught up in lots of stopped traffic.  We I went home at 11pm last night it was still closed.  The accident happened at 4 am!! So I think I will leave about 1/2 hr earlier today.   Everyone take care, travel safe, enjoy the sunshine, and I'll see you on Sunday! Cindy

See you on Sunday! Hazmat spills take a long time to clean up depending on what was spilled. Many times the first responders have to call out other techie people (like the EPA) before they can even start to clean up.  Chris

HI Christina and the rest of Illinois! It is now afternoon (2:00) and I am working. I have a TON of stuff to try to get done this evening.....in addition to it being Homecoming at my son's school, we are trying to get the quilt done for tomorrow's baby shower.  That, and all the prep for the baby shower:  I have to melt 11 cady bars and put them into diapers.  We are having a couples' shower, then a kind of potluck afterwards.  My neighbor and I are supplying the turkeys (1 smoked and 1 fried) and everyone is bringing a dish.  After the turkeys are done, we are going to make apple cider donut holes and peanut butter fritters in the hot oil.  We will also be serving hot spiced cider and will have a fire.  WHEW.......makes me tired just thinking about it!!!!  No, really, it will be fun, even if I don't eat fritters and donuts.  For that matter, I probably won't have much cider either----too much sugar. Amber and Riley will be coming out and we ALWAYS love to see them. I am having some rather serious problems with David, but I hope to have a handle on it soon. I will see you all on Sunday!

So, it's not really morning anymore is it? ha ha   Plans changed for tonight and I ended up driving the boys to their dad's after all.  It's about an 1 1/2 round trip barring no traffic issues.   I didn't get home til almost 8pm!  Tomorrow I will be sleeping in hopefully and then Mike and I are heading out to Rockford to a BBQ at my oldest sister's hosue.  that will be fun Sunday of course we are going to the meet and greet that I am very excited about!!
