Allergies

What can we take for allergies?  I was desperate last night and took a Claritan D.  Is this harmful or safe for our pouches? Thank you in advance! Nancy

I am still in the pre-op stage, but, I would think you should ask your Dr. what he/she would reccomend.

 

Hi Nancy, I take Allegra (perscription) which I've been taking pre and post surgery.  I have had no issues  and my doc is aware that I take it.  To my knowledge, none of these contain anything harmful to the pouch.  Best to check with your doctor though.  Hang in until that first frost and it will get better :-)

Thank you.  I LOVE my doctor but my doctor is not the best RNY surgeon out there.   He is a fantastic surgeon, do not get me wrong but when it comes to things that can harm us he is not the best for advice.  He says we can take anything we want in moderation.  You and I both know that is not true.  I NEVER take any meds (thank heavens for this surgery) so when I need to know what is safe these boards are unfortunately my best advice I have.  I am watching the news begging them to say we will have a frost, no luck so far ;) Thank you! Hi Nancy, I've taken the quick dissolve Claritin over the summer...didn't have any problems. (how's things with you!!!??!?!?!)

Hey chickie I have missed you!  Where have you been?  I have not seen you in a very long time. What is new and exciting? I have not posted on the "other" board(s) in a long time but lurk over there.  I have not really seen you there either. Any news on the love front? I have not told anyone other than Amanda, Dan (my boyfriend of almost a year) has moved in!  We are very happy.  I hope that if there is another Chicago get together you will get to meet him. Write back, I miss you!

That is awesome news for you and Dan!!  And yes, I really hope to meet him.
