GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe, Target, Walmart, other health food stores, Osco, Walgreens, sports stores like bicycle shops, Sports Authority, Dicks Sam's, Costco to name a few carry protein bars. You will need to look at the label and see how many grams of sugar are in them. Many of them have a lot and some very little. Watch the amount of calories also because some of them are really high. I usually cannot eat a whole one, too filling plus I would rather get my calories from a real meal. But there are good for a fast meal if you are out and about.

Each doctor is going to have their own protocol on how much sugar to have so that is something you will need to ask her. If I remember correctly my NUT had said to keep it to about 20g max. I try to keep it to less. I hardly dump but my husband dumps at the drop of a hat. Sometimes I will dump on hardly any sugar and that is usually when I do not have other food in my tummy. Chris

Hi Janet! I lile to keep my sugar below 10 g per serving.  The "Pure Protein" bars are pretty good and you can get them at Wal-Mart.  I just found a new one at Cub Foods that I also like....Power Bar Nut Naturals---10 g of protein, 8 g of sugar.  Like Christine said-----these are good for a snack, but only when real food is not available.  I usually only eat 1/2 at a time also.

Tell someone that you love them!

I agree with Dawn about the Pure Protein Bars from walmart.  They come in 4 different flavors.  Chocolate and peanut butter are my favorites.  I usually have one for breakfast.
