Thurs Roll Call

Good Morning IL~ It's almost 10am and there was not a roll call yet, so I thought I would post one!  How is everyone doing today?  I don't have much planed for today.  I have really enjoyed my husband being off for the las couple of days.  No kids during the day!!!!  He took me out to breakfast yesterday and we just spent some good ol quality time together.  We went shopping and he bought me some scrapbook stuff, then we went to Medards and Farm and Fleet.  Those stores are my "candy store".  I can spend hours in them!!!  We ended up buying a rider lawn mower at farm and fleet.  It was on sale and I wanted one for my birthday.  We live on a half acre and we have an old craftsmen that I bought at sears 9 years ago for $85 and it still runs.  We have gotten our money out off that one!!!! Congrats to those that have gotten aprroval letters and dates.  ********Remember Sept.23rd at Panara Bread by Woodfield!!!  Many OHers will be there and we will have a good time!!!!  Bring your questions and smiles****

Great minds think alike, I tell ya!  I just posted the roll call too! I am planning on going on the 23rd.  Have you heard if Pam is going?  Have you thought about setting up a car pool, or do you have other plans while you are in "the city"?  I could go either way on the issue.  I was thinking of making a side trip or two either before or after the get-together (or both!), but the financial aspect of car pooling is also attractive. Good morning IL

Nothing much today for me.  I need to go to human resources at work and get my medical leave in order 'cause I HAVE A DATE!!  I already posted a new topic for it, but I'm just SOOO excited.  I have to tell everyone!    If anyone from Rockford or Rochelle area is interested in carpooling on the 23rd.,  I would be as well.  That's the day before my pre-op testing, and I would love to meet everyone.  Just let me know.  I will write more later! on your date Cindy, I just had my last psych, visit, I go in two week to go over the final report, then she will send it to the Dr. I am so glad that part is done, now just one more step and dr. can send everything into Ins. for aproval I go next friday for the first part of the chemical stress test and then the following monday for the last part of it,  Hope eveyone is doing good.

Just trying to get caught up on things artound the house today.  The air conditioner man came and fixed my air today.  It broke down this last weekend and we have been melting!!  I guess all it needed was a little more freon.  I thought for sure that I was going to have to put in a new unit.  Especially since I had to put in the new furnance this last Feb. Got an appointment today to see Dr. Rosen at 4pm.  It's my 3 month check up.  Really don't think I'm going to need a fill, but I'll leave that up to him.  I'm hoping to find time to run to Arby's and get a wrap before the support group meeting. Hello all- boy nothing from the 2 Chris's- they must be up to their megabytes in work today! I have laundry and then dinner at my sister's w/ my 2 nieces and Baby Lincoln!He's 8 lbs 4 oz, now and his heart is holding it's own.  He is just starting to smile and is just a little.   He may not have the big surgery until 8-10 months old now.  My niece is so happy he's doing so well, but also wishing the surgery could be done and over with. Hey Gang!  I've been stuck in training all day..  My brain is on overload.  UGH!  I've got so much to do in order keep caught up with my regular work.  I have my support group meeting tonight and then will be coming back to work to try to make a dent. Congratulations to all those that recently got their approval leters and dates.  That is so exciting!

Hi Mike - I'm sorry, I just read your post this morning.  My surgeons office, LifeWeigh Bariatrics has a great support group meeting the first Thursday of each month.  They are in Downers Grove.  If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you will see a little advertisement for LifeWeigh.  I beleive for a nominal fee, you can attend w/out being a patient of Dr. Rosens.  You can call the office to get more info.  If you are interested, I can bring you next month as my guest.  Chris B's husband attends who is post op, my husband (pre-op) and a few other guys attend so I think it would be great support for you. The IL board is also having a "meet & greet" on Sunday, Sept 23rd at Panera Bread for Woodfield Mall at 1pm if you are interested in getting out and meeting some of us.  It's sounding like it's going to be a quite a few of us.  My husband is trying to rearrange his schedule so he can join us. Hi All, I am getting ready to go camping for the weekend. The car is packed and the food is baught. Walmart got 133.00 of my money!!!!! We needed everything. We are going to a Florida State Park that is 4 hours from our house. To Ft Clinch. It is a state park that has world war stuff in it.  I wont be able to come to Chicago to the get together cause I am going to Dallas for a over 50 get together October 4-7. I think the next time Ill be in Chicago is for the Mid West Hair Show in March the 1st weekend. My kid and I go and take classes this year. I hope the car wont break down like it did last weekend when we were in Disney World. The battery went dead and I had to be jumped in the parking lot. I then high tailed it to walmart to get a new one and it strted right up!!!!!! Cars are like kids, They need attention all the time!!!!! Carla
