Monday Roll Call

Good Morning Everyone on the Illinois Board, If you are a regular here, or just a visitor, welcome to Monday Roll Call. I am going to the pool today to relax, get some sun (using sunscreen) and floating on my air mattress in the pool. I visited with Willow yesterday and we had a great time! I am coming to the September 23rd get together and can't wait to meet everyone. I want to thank everyone who have been concerned and asking about me. I've been going through some major issues in my life and haven't dealt very well with them. I am here now and plan to stay! OK, so what is everyone doing today? Wishing everyone a relaxing holiday! Good Morning Lucy - Good to see you back ladybug.  Have fun at the pool today.  Calvin and I are getting ready to go get breakfast then taking a stroll thru a beautiful park in St. Charles.  I have to work later on this afternoon so we are going to try to enjoy a little bit of quaility time together before I have to leave for work.  We have not had a "date night" in a long time since I've been working two jobs.

Anyhow.. I hope everyone enjoys the holiday.  I'll talk to ya soon.

Good Morning Christina, Lucy, and the rest of the Illinois Board. My day is going to consist of everything that I didn't do for the last 2. Mainly, laundry, and getting ready for the rest of the week. Nothing earlth shattering.  The kids are all staying at thier own places and doing their own things, DH has a few odds and ends that he wants to do. Everyone stay safe on this last holiday of summer.  Planning on meeting everyone on the 23rd.

Good morning Lisa. I should be doing some laundry, etc... but the days at the pool are close to ending. I got to enjoy it while the weather is good. Can't wait to meet you on the 23rd! Well we were going to have  BBQ at my daughters, but last night we had to take my 6 yr old grandson to ER. His right ear is swollen to about 3 times its normal size. They really do not know what caused it. They said a bactiera infection in the cartiliage of the ear. Its all red and hot. I think they should have done blood work. It took 5 dr to come up with something. So really its a mystery. One said califlour ear, one said a bug bite ... Tomorrow we will take him to his ped and see whats really going on. I will demand blood work.  On top of this my cousin in Tennesee ran over his own daughter. Her back is broke but she will live. She may never walk again. She came around a cruve on a gravel road and slide under her dads truck and had a large whole in her back. She was riding a dirt bike. Her dad is devastated. She is 13 yrs old.

So since my day has changed I am going on a long bike ride. Going to go to Saulk Lake out side of Kewanee,Il. There is a pine forest with trails and going to go check it out. Just hope I don't get lost. Maybe then have a little picnic in the forest.

Hi Karen. Sorry to hear about your grandson and your cousin's daughter. What a tragedy! I will keep them in my prayers. Hope you were able to salvage the day and enjoy the wonderful weather we are having!

My cousins daughter will be going through lots of surgery to repair all the broken bones. The bones in the upper thigh area were shattered, her back also has some extensive damage. They said since she is young she could bounce right back after they fix her up. She might not ever walk again but she is alive! So God was with her. My grandson is doing better after the antibotics kicked in.  I went go carting tonight after I took a long walk. Yes I went go carting and had a blast. Thats something I would not have done 1 year ago. Its surprising what a person can do with just 50 pounds gone.... I actually love taking walks now. I use to dread it, now I suggest it.  I love my band!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon I guess. I had to get our 3 season room cleaned from top to bottom so I took advantage of the fact that I could not get on the internet because my provider was out until about 930am. Otherwise I would loose a whole mess of time surfing when I should be working. The only thing not done for the room is washing the windows in and out. Every piece of furniture was moved except for the TV/DVD-CD unit (too heavy), glass tables washed, vacuumed and all things dusted. Because it gets so dusty from the windows being left open it needed to be cleaned real bad. I usually clean it from top to bottom 3-4 times a year, feels good to have that done. I am going to veg out for the rest of the night and either watch some DVDs that we just bought or TV.  Chris

Hi Chris. Wow, you were very busy today. My mom likes to do all that as well. I, for one wanted to spend the day relaxing by the pool. I had a great day and now feel so sleepy!  I could use another day off! Oh well, back to work tomorrow.. no holidays until Thanksgiving. Chris, are you going to the Obesity walk on the 15th? Lucy
