Friday Roll Call

Good morning and Happy Friday to one and all!  It's a 3 day weekend for many of us, WOOHOO! plus casual Friday for me at work. WOOHOO - no uniform Let's see what is going on with the IL Board "Neighborhood"? Come on in and share with the rest as to what is going on in your life. Dave and I head out early to the Milwaukee area tomorrow morning. I am an early bird so if there isn't a roll call then I will put a short one up. I will not be around to respond, so play nice in the sand box boys and girls. We do have an surgiversary coming up on the 5th - Dee. Keep in your prayers those with health issues that are going on in their lives. Sandra is waiting on her date.  Everyone travel safely this weekend. Christine  &

For me its not only a 3 day weekend its the end of the first week back to work. I think I might take a ride tomorrow up to Chicago land with my daughter and just walk around downtown. Maybe even go down to navy pier. We were going to go to St Louis but we decided to go north instead. She likes the shopping up there better. I hate to shop so I really don't care either way.

Happy WLS Anniversary to all who has one, with Christina's being today! Good luck to those waiting on dates to get them soon.

A three day weekend....hmm what shall I do?  I posted in on the main board, but I thought I could post it here too.  I went to the doctor yesterday for a follow up to the thyroid medication that he had prescribed. It seems that I am not tollerating it so well, and I also gained 7 pounds since the beginning of the month without trying.  By this I mean I was following my diet, no fast food, watched my portions.  This doctor at the beginning of the month when I asked for a referral said "No".  But yesterday when he noticed my weight and calculated my bmi being at over 40 he gave me a referral.  Yes, that is right I got my referral to the bariatric surgeon.  So, my journey to a new me starts in ernest.  I still have tons of research to do (I have already done a lot, but I am the type that needs to know all), I should know who my surgeon will be in7-10 days, and need to start planning for anything and everything. I don't know many people in Illinois, as I don't have much time to go out and meet people, but I am looking for someone to be a friend.  That way I have someone I will be able to meet for coffee, or go shopping, or just sit and talk. Christine, have fun in Milwaukee, I used to live and work up in that area and it should be a wonderful weather weekend.

Good morning Illinois.  We are on our way out of town either this evening or very early in the morning.  Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful labor day! Thanks Chris, the 5th is a wonderful but sad day.  My father passed away on September 5, 1980, and I began my new life on September 5, 2006.  I think I had an angel watching over me that day. Good Morning one and all!  Thank goodness it's Friday. It's been a crazy week here and today at work will be nuts too.  Hopefully the day will go by quick though.  3 day weekend, yay!The kids are all going to the "dark sides" this weekend so it will just be me, hubby and the pooches!  Phantom went to the vet yesterday and they are running tests to figure out what's wrong with him.  Won't have results til next week. I plan on doing a lot of walking this weekend, just around the neighborhood, I really need to get my butt back on track after vacation.  I have my next meeting with the nut next Thursday. Well gotta get to work.   Happy Days to all!

It is FRIDAY!!!!! Before a 3-day weekend!!!!!! I am, of course, at work. I will do my time today and go pick Riley (my 14 month old granddaughter) up to take home with me for the weekend. I just LOVE to have her out. She is SO much fun. We will stop by the house and pick up Olivia and try to make it out to David's football game in time to see him play. He is a freshman, so his game begins at 5:30 and it will take an additional 1-2 hour to get there from my house. Rockford has a HUGE festival going on all weekend, but I do not think we will be attending.  It is almost TOO huge.  Very crowded and expensive.  And to think, I remember taking Amber in her stroller to the very first "On the Waterfront" celebration.  At that time, it was just two stages on the east side of the State St. bridge.  This year, there is really nothing to attract me into town.  Besides, we have a pretty full weekend planned anyway: Tomorrow, we will make sure that we have everything we need for the tie dye party on Sunday. We are also invited to a party, so we may go there. Sunday, we will prepare for the party and have a blast with our neighbors and friends. Monday, we will rinse and wash our new creations for wearing back-to-school. Tuesday, I will be back here, slaving for the dime. My thoughts go out to everyone that is waiting for approvals and dates, and having health issues. I do hope everyone has a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend!

Good morning!  I am new here and so happy to see some people from Illinois!  I will be having my lapband surgery on 9/11.  I'm a little nervous about the date but I think it should be ok. No exciting plans here for the weekend.  I am going to take advantage of my DH being home for 3 days and get some of the bigger jobs done around here, like putting boxes in the attic and such. HI all I know I haven't written in a bit, but my husband was in the hospital for an angiogram and had some things fixed in there. It has been a long week with all of that going on and 2 children too boot to take care of. LOL Life is never dull here... I have heard that finally they have submitted my things to the insurance so fingers crossed and lots of prayers please.  We won't do much this wonderful weekend but maybe clean the housse and relax.. Husband needs to rest his leg where they went in to do angio gram.. He worries me every day but at least he is home resting now, He is young and has a heart attack 9 stents and 7 angio plasties. Like I said he keeps me on my toes. So I need my surgery so I can be around for our children, because God forbid something happens to him. I would be left with 2 smaller children. Ok enough about that.  I hope everyone has a great weekend and I promise now that things will hopefully calm down I will post more..  I am wishing everyone a safe and fun weekend... Martha

Yes its finally here, Friday!!!! I am hoping 5 comes around soon!! Heading to Springfield to cause some trouble!!

Hey Gang! Getting ready to leave work.  Boss is being nice and sending us home since we met our billing goal for the month.. yahoo.  I have to be at bakers square at five but this will give me a couple hours of me time. I had my one year check up w/ Dr. Rosen yesterday and all went very well.  I had my annual physical w/ my family doc this morning.  Just need to get my blood work done and the boobs smashed and I should be good to go for awhile. I posted some new photos of my progress on my profile if anyone is interested in seeing what's happened in the past year.  Of course, my profile journeling went to pot this past Feb when an employee googled my name and found my profile.  I have not quite fealt comfortable posting since.   Everyone have a great, safe holiday weekend!
