Peggy, are you originally from the Chgo area and do you still have contact with your surgeon? Are you active in a support group? Have you been using your tool effectively? What are your exercise and eating (drinking with meals?) habits like? Have you been back to your surgeon recently to have your labs drawn to make sure that everything is in order? Have you had your thyroid labs checked lately?  These would be some of the things that I would start analysizing first to try and nail down why you are having a gain. Welcome to the IL board and I am glad that you stopped in and touched base with us. There are a great goup of ladies and sometimes a guy or two will stop in. Stop back in anytime if you have more questions. You might want to post this as a seperate question on the board and introduce yourself. We love having new members come in and join us and someone will try and answer your question or just give a cyber hug if they cannot answer for you. We have a good mix of pre op and PO members. Christine

Hi Peggy.  I have to agree with Chris on this one.  You could also go back to the beginning, write down and measure. Dee

Kim, hey yeah September is approaching fast. I am almost booked for every weekend except the weekend of the 8-9th and only open on the 23rd, not 22nd. There are a beavy of restaurants near Woodfield ranging from sandwich to fine dining. I vote for sandwich. There is a Panera right near Woodfield, just throwing that out. I will put my thinking cap on about the rest and make a list. We will want something that is not too noisy and busy. Christine

Oh Kim........my heart is breaking with yours. I SO remember those days of watching your little one head out on their own.  The picture is a wonderful idea, and you can always put little notes in places where she will find them unexpectedly. I'm sure that Maddie will adjust, it is just difficult to watch right now.  Giver her extra love and kisses during this transistion.  Before you know it, she will be all independent and you will look back on these days with fondness. Hang in there.........

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi Kim - Sorry to hear Maddie is having such a difficult transition.  It will pass.  I love the idea of the picture.  That is so sweet.  I know your heart is breaking. I have a whole new respect for waitresses/servers.  Wow, I never knew it was so difficult.  Most of the servers snack the entire shift.  I'm just the opposite but I was off last night and found myself snacking at home even if it's healthy snacks, it's not good.  I have to stop it.  At least I'm aware of my downfall and can work on it. BTW, the biscuts at RL are to die for!!!!!!!!  YUMMO!

I'm excited about the get together.  We just need to get a date set so I can make sure I have that day off.  I don't care where we meet as long as it's a place we can talk and don't have to yell to hear each other.  I'm up for a road trip so wherever is good for me! Brunch, Apple Orchard and Horseback Riding or a Wagon Ride would be my first choice. Take Care, Christina
