Ok its been awhile since I checked in. I knew it was to good to be true that I was doing so great. I was eating and drinking everything the way I was supposed to and then BOOM!!!!! last weekend ended up spending 3 hours with EMT and found out I was dangerously dehydrated which then led to me not being able to keep anything down. I ended up in the hospital Monday for IV fluids. I can not for the life of me figure out why things I oculd eat last week and the week before now make me sick and nothing stays down. The Dr ordered tests and everything is is fine. So I am confused. I see my surgeon on the 29th so have to see what else he says about it. I thought I was doing soemthing wrong. I have however found that I can not tolerate anything with a lot of Protien!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not stand to drink my protien shakes or supplements. UGHHHH the protien puddings were good now I think how the BLEEP did I eat one of those.  I now take fenagran(spelling) so I am not sick all the time but it does not alays help

Will I ever be able to eat chicken?.........lol I have found that I can tolerate and keep down a fresh orange and white grapes with no problem I have even kept down a few pieces of dry multigrain chex mix just to get something in my stomach. Nothing else lasts. Has anyone else had this problem. I do not have much energy now and I am really getting tired. I know this is my new way of life i knew this was going to be hard but no amount of reading and talking to Dr's and other WLS peeps could prepare me for me what is happening now.

I am 48lbs lost  and can not wait to be able to work out again.  Thanks to everyone for your support Tara

Hi Tara - I'm sorry you are going thru this.  I wish I had some advice but I really don't.  I'm just glad you have an appointment this week with your surgen so he/she can figure out what's going on with you. Hang in there and give us an update after your appointment.  BTW, Congrats on the 48lb loss, that is WONDERFUL!!! Christina

Sounds like you have a stricture. That is when the opening out of the stomach to the intestinal track scars down and starts to close. Your surgeon can do a procedure to open it back up (down through the mouth and into the pouch, done under "twilight"). It is common and it happened to my sister after lap RNY. Christine

Thanks ladies I sush that was the problem. I had xrays and a CAT scan done when I was in the hospital last week at my surgeons request and everything looked fine. So I am hoping it is not anything serious. I will find ut on Wed and let you all know. Tara
