Way off Topic

I get home about an hour ago, to find my DH holding for the phone company. He has to leave to go back to work, and hands me the phone, I guess the phone has a loud buzz on our end. And yes, we have maintainance on the landlind . The CSR tells me it could be until Monday at 8pm before someone can look at it. I told her that was unacceptable, but thats the best she can do,.So, after I hangup with her, another call comes in, and the ringer isn't working right. It is just a dull tink, instead of a ring. We aren't going to be very happy campers this evening. Lisa

Start with your phone that is not a cordless and start unplugging all of them. Start calling your home phone line from your cell phone. This is to try and find out which one of your phones might be causing the problem. It might not be the phone line coming into the house but your actual handsets that are connected to that phone line.  Or if you have a junction box on the outside of the house that you can go into you can plug a phone that you know works fine into the modular jack and call your home number and answer the call from that phone.  Before you do that why don't call me. Chris, thanks for the advice, but he did all that before he called the phone company. We have been having problems with the line off and on for a while. Now that I cooled down a bit, I am sure it will be taken care of within a day or so. Lisa
