Monday Roll Call

Good morning one and all! Well, still icky weather up here in Chi-town world but we are alive and kickn' and that is all that counts. From what I understand they canceled the air and water show yesterday. I cannot remember that ever happening before.  What do you have on life's menu for today? We probably have kids of members that are going back to school this week and there are always those preps for that to happen. I have 2 neighbors near me that teach in the local grade level schools and they have to go back today.  Not much for me other than I will probably be spinning myself into a frenzy today getting things done from last week. I did not go into work yesterday; I took a nap instead. It was such good napping weather. I was able to get a lot done around the house with this rain in addition to some down time. Good Morning Chris & IL - I'm geting a late start.  It's already 6:30 and I still have not showered or done much of anything other then eat a yogert. I had the pleasure in meeting Janet last night.  What a cutie.  She is just as sweet and funny as I knew she would be.  We did not get to visit long because I was working and people wanted to eat    I just don't get it.  LOL So, we will have to get together for a visit soon when I have an open evening. I'm working all day then will be meeting up w/ my boss about six to go over some billing issues so It's going to be a long day. Chris - I'm glad you got that nap in yesterday.  Nothing like just relaxing on a rainy day. Don't work too hard. I've gotta get busy, hope everyone has a great Monday! Christina

I hate it when I get late starts as it then seems that the whole day then runs behind. Oh yes, naps. I have not taken a nap on a Sunday in ages and it felt so good. Then in the evening I watched on cable My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I love that movie.  I got caught up on a lot of the parking tickets today. All the payments, new entries, voids, and the disbutes to tickets. Well, I still have the 19th to do tomorrow morning. My other part timer comes back to work tomorrow so that will take some of the load off. Hey, maybe we can make it a "several some" meeting with a few people  when you get together with Janet again. There are others that are in the general area also. Chris

Good morning Christine. Yeah, yesterday was a good day to rest. Glad to hear you got some. I went to work yesterday for a couple of hours then slept for the remainder of the afternoon and part of the evening. I've been so busy lately that I need another vacation just to rest . It seems like there is so much to do and not enough hours in the day to get them done. I'm interviewing for another job this Thursday in Oak Brook. It's for a QA Manager at the American Society for Gastroendoscopy. We're still waiting for the surveyors to show up at the hospital. Could be today! I wish they would come and get this over. My social life has had many ups and downs; now I'm at the down side. Sometimes I think it was easier not to deal with dating and its issues. There are a lot of frogs out there. Still looking for my man. Oh well. Maybe I should have become a nun. Christina, hope all is going well with your new job. Sounds like something I need to start losing weight again. Dee, we love you here! Sorry to hear about your cracked ribs. I had 4 of them on the left side after a car accident 3 years ago. So I know how you are feeling! Hope everyone is doing well! I'm going to try and do my best and be good to my pouch. I've been so bad lately, I'm ashamed to admit it! But here I am. Those old eating habits have creeped into my life and now I have to stop the nonsense! I've got so much to be thankful for. Time for me to get busy at work... Good morning all!  Wow, the cubs and the cardinals game got rained out yesterday, that's a first in a long time. I promise ya all I am gonna change my avator today..lol Well, got a call late last night, I am suppose to try going without pain pills, and see how my stomach does.  I think they are aggrivating it real bad.  Hope I am typing this okay, I am coloring my hair, and I am blind as a bat without my glasses...lol Raining here in southern Illinois, but we need it so bad, we haven't had any rain hardly this summer, it seemed to skip around us and head up towards northern Illinois. We all need to plan a day when we can get together, even if I have to travel, I would love to meet you all. Dee

What is going on with the tummy pains?  What did that doctor put you on, hopefully not a NSAID. AND change that avatar! Well, got that out of my system.  My sister was telling me yesterday (she lives in Jasper CO, IN, far south IN not too far from Louisville) that all of the farmer's corn is drying up and it is really, really dry by her. They need rain desparately, so send some of yours to her and I will do the same. Talk about eyeballs. I just got new contacts and I cannot believe how clearly I am seeing. I saw those contacts for Acuvue for astigmatism, ordered them from 800 contacts and they are fantastic. I cannot believe what a whole new rhelm that has been opened to me. Chris

Good Morning IL- Another day just dripping sunshine.  It's a good day for laundry so I'll tackle that.  I got to meet Christina P. yesterday, and she is as pretty as she is sweet.  What a doll!  Good to see you posting, Lucy-we've missed you.  Pain pills can really mess w/your digestive system, Dee-I hope you can resolve that problem.  I am going to call the Dr. this p.m. 'cause this wound looks like dog doodle.  I just don't think I'm getting rid of this infection at all.  Hugs to all and umbrellas up!-Janet K

Well I survived the first day of teaching!! I was a little nervous but did not let it show. i think it will go well. they were complaining that it is too much work but i think they will get over it!!
