Roll call

Hi all hope you had a wonderful weekend and have had a good week thus far.  I'm on call today for the hospital.  So I'll be sticking around the house all day in case they need to call me in.  I have chores I need to get caught up on any way. Got home from work friday to find my paycheck in the mail.  They forgot to pay me for my last week of medical leave.  They are suppose to cut me a check for that yet this week.  Then Saturday I took my daughter and her friend to the zoo to see Kyle Massey.  We got some good pictures.  The girls were to hot to stand in line for his autograph.  I must have dropped my credit/debit card in there too.  I got home and had 2 messages from a credi****ch agency wanting to verify charges made to my card Saturday.  I told them I had not made the charges and to report the card stolen.  They did.  I have to go to the bank tomorrow to sign a form to have the 145 dollars returned to my account.  Apparently they were all gas station charges. Need to go get busy.  Wishing you all the best of days. Shelley P.S.  Grandma is getting stronger.  She's still in rehab.  Unfortunately the Aunt that has been fighting cancer is now unresponsive and Grandma is still too week to be able to go see her one last time.

Kyle Massey plays Cory on "Corey in the House" and "That's so Raven".  Both are shows on the Disney channel.   Yes I had a very eventful weekend but I could have done with less!!  LOL Shelley

Good Morning Shelley and the rest of IL - Happy Tuesday.. I woke up to lightening about 4:30a and by 5:15a it was absolutely raining cats and dogs.  I sent Calvin out the door to work and crawled back into bed.  LOL.  It was lovely.  I usually go ahead and go into to work when he has early mornings but today was one of those days where the ole' bod had a different plan.  It was nice.  I came real close to needing a "mental" health day. Not a lot going on with me.  I had my orientation yesterday with Bakers Square.  I actually start my training tomorrow night.  I'm really excited.   Today I have a Mandatory working lunch which I'm not thrilled about but really don't have a choice.  I have not seen the agenda so have no way to prepare.  I don't even know where this lunch/meeting is going to take place.  I've heard Robertos which is an Italian restaraunt inside the Holiday Inn.

I know a lot of people have been concerned about Lucy.  Just wanted to let you know I did get a PM from her yesterday.  She is fine, just staying busy and will try to post soon.

Alright everybody, time to get this party started.  Have a great day! Christina

Good Mornng Shelly and all of Illinois!!! I just got back to work this morning after a long weekend with Miss Riley and my Iron Infusion yesterday.  We had fun having Riley around and took her to a pond party/corn boil on Sunday.  She sat with me on a floatie most of the time.  She just LOVES the water, like her fish of an Auntie Liv. (Olivia was jumping off of diving boards with her floatie on when she was Riley's age.) Yesterday, Amber, Liv and Riley went with me to Madison for the (dreaded) iron infusion.  They went to the zoo, Trader Joe's and the West Town Mall while I had my treatment.  WELL............it was NO PROBLEM!!!!!  I was nervous and worried for nothing!  It was no different than any other I.V.  It was just "forced relaxation" as Christina said.  I watched a movie and a half, read a bit of a magazine and got in a 1.5 hour nap.  The treatment itself took about 4.5 hours.  When it was done, I felt fine, and we all went back to Trader Joe's so that I could pick up a couple of things, then I took them to Flat Top Grill for dinner.  I will have to do it again either every 6 months or once a year, depending on how long it takes my body to deplete this store.  They said that I would not feel much of an energy boost for probably another month, but I feel pretty great today!  (It's probably all in my head......) We had to stop at three different stores on the way home looking for men's size 13 football cleats and could not find them anywhere.  David needs them and I am hoping that I won't have to go to a specialty sports store and pay an arm and a leg (or foot) for them.  The hunt is on!!!!! Today, I will continue to look for cleats and I have to run down to the consignment shop for a new shirt as I got all dirty on the way into work this morning carrying in a bag of ice. We have tickets for the Cubs in the bleachers next Monday, so if you are watching, look for us! I hope everyone has a lovely day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hey Pam... I sure hope they don't catch me licking my fingers or the spatula!  LOL Sunday became a huge ordeal trying to get my uniform put together.  Geez.  I first started out at Kirlands.  Did not find any pants there but did find a couple pictures for my bedroom.  Then went to Dress Barn, found a couple pairs of black slacks.  I then stopped in at Payless and was able to find the "slip" resistant shoes I needed. Then the hunt was on for the oxford that require button down collar.  Now mind you, if I had listen to my husband and bought them in the mens section like he told me....... I would have saved myself about three hours and a lot less stress.  But oh noooo..  I'm not going to listen the wize one.  I checked at Dress Barn, Target, Walmart, Meijer, JC Penny's, Sears and then went back to JC Penny's and stopped in the Mens dept and low and behold, there were the darn shirts I needed. Have a great day!!! Christina

well, Carla K. has been in this weekend and I just saw her off ... unfortunately I didn't get to do planned things this past weekend with some friends, its been incredibly busy ... work kept me going late into the night Friday and all day Saturday. I did stop at Halsted Street Market Days briefly on Sunday, and its back to the grind yesterday and today is driving me nuts ... I'm headed to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis tomorrow, so I'm trying to wrap up some things at work, and make sure I have all my paperwork for tomorrow ... hopefully my flight won't be delayed like they were this morning!!! Will hopefully make rollcall Thursday ... ciao for now ...  Karyn
