Hi All, I thought I would share with you my first WOW Moment. I had my RNY on May 1 2007 Before surgery I weighed 325 and my waist was a 50. Three months later I am down 75#  now 250 I went to the store the other day and bought a pair of shorts. I am now in a size 42. I cant remember the last time I wore a size 42. I am soo happy. Thanks for letting me toot my own horn. Mike

KimberlyB, I am very pleased with choosing RNY. My surgeon did not require a liquid diet before my surgery. I did take a suplimental drink for 8 days or so but that was to boost my immune system. I was able to eat anything I wanted up to the day before my surgery. I have no regrets.  A couple of times I have found my self walking the isles of the grocery store asking my self "What the heck have I done" but I get over that quickly. I am diabetic and 1 week after leaving the hospital I was off all of my diabetic medicines. My numbers haven't been this good for almost 10 years. I am 3 months out and have lost 72 pounds already. I just wish I had this done years ago. Good luck with your journey. If you have any questions just let me know. Mike
