confused-6 month diet

Someone please help. I have a simple question.I have been reading posts all over the board and now i'm confused. As most know i am doing 6mnth diet. So here's the question. does the first visit count as month one? I saw a few posts that say yes and some say no. I have bcbs of Il. tell me what counts as 1st please. I'm gonna list my appointments below.THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Am I done is Sept. or October?

I asked this exact question to the nurse practitioner who saw me at the dietician's office on Wednesday and she told me that the first visit counts as month one....I also have bcbs of il.....
