Approved for Surgery!!

I received a call from my insurance company case manager.  She said the medical director approved my request for gastric bypass surgery with Dr. Cahill.  All I have to do now is to call her back next week when I can find out a date for surgery.  What kind of liquid diet will the doctor put me on the week before surgery?

That's fantastic!      Thanks for sharing your exciting news. As far as the liquid diet goes, as you know every surgeon is different and requires different things.  When I had my surgery, I had to do a 10 day clear liquid diet.  My surgeon now requires a 14 day liquid diet.  UGH! Whatever you have to do, you'll get thru it.  Just stay focused on the end result.  You're gonna be on the loosing side soon! Christina

Congrats, now all you need is the date! As far as the pre diet I can not help......sorry. Karen
