Morning all!

Snowing up here Chicago way. I think we had about 2 inches already and more is expected during the day. I heard anywhere from 4-10 or 12 inches in my area. I live directly west of O'Hare airport about 5 miles as the crow flys. Not going to take the car out of the garage, I will just walk to work which is only 1/2 mile one way. Need to get ready for work. Today is my late day, start at 8 instead of 7. I hate Tuesdays, it makes the day so long when you leave at 4pm. Chris

Hi Chris. I start work very early and got here at 6 a.m. The roads were all snow packed and people were driving around 25 miles/hour. I'm enjoying some very hot coffee and glad that I got here in one piece. Now the commute home, that's another story. It will be very slow going I'm sure. Take care. Lucy

I guess I'm lucky as I don't have to go out today. It is beautiful outside but the snow is still coming down and the wind is just brutal. My Siberian Huskey, Hawley is loving it though. The silly goose wouldn't come in from our walk. Just wanted to roll around in the snow

Hi Chris, It's now 3pm, so much for "morning". I'm in the south burbs and we got tons of snow out here. I'm glad it's not cold, though. I just went out the house about 45 mins ago and driving is not that great. I'm a 20-25 mile-per-hourer, but there were some out there who were driving too fast for conditions. Be careful, everyone. I got to the train station slipin' and slidin'! The ride home was no piece of cake either. I am going to work from home tomorrow if the roads are not clear at 5 am. I guess I should go play with my picture now and see if I can follow directions! jeannine

Man, wish I could work from home but I need to be at the PD to answer calls and take payments on parking tickets etc. Besides due to security reasons they cannot have me on line with the various computer systems. You have to be direct wired from the PD only. Need to also go to a law enforcement managers meeting in Buffalo Grove. Hope it is canceled. Chris
