barix clincs- now what..

What's going on w/ barix clincs? I understand they are closing and they were not very helpful in providing info as to who I'm suppose to contact if I run into problems.. My surgery was a little over a year ago. Kind of irritates me that they are not informing prior patients what's going on.. Kelli

Kelli, I am so sorry that you are going though what you are going through right now. I can relate with you as far as with the situation that WISH had the same thing happen to the patients last fall. I do have a doctor's group to recommend to you and that is Drs Jeff Rosen or Michael Iwanicki. www.lifeweighbariatrics.com is their site on the internet. They also have an ad in the lower left of this page. They were with WISH and now have started a new practice in Downers Grove. They are in the old WISH offices there. They also follow up patients of other bariatric doctors. If coming up this far north is not an option for you any more then you can search www.asbs.org for doctors that follow up patients from other practices. Hi Kelli, I'm sorry for what you are going through. It is terrible that they just left you in the cold like that. I had my surgery with Dr. Frantzides and it has been an amazing experience. I highly recommend him. He' in SKokie and his office just moved into the Old Orchard mall. He is a very kind and understanding surgeon and I would tell anyone considering surgery to give his office a call! Please let me know if you have any questions. Best of luck, Marsh
