I would love to hear from someone who had work by dr.Cahill at lil co. of Mary hosp.
have you been to a consult yet? That was where I started and after the Dr said I was a good candiate for lapband, his insurance specialtist contacted my insurance. She then kept me up to date as to what I had to do so insurance would cover. One less gallbaladder and maybe a couple of weeks away from getting the lapband done! I started my process in October. Good luck! Oh I had my work done in belvidere,Il. By Dr Boe.
Kelly thanks so much for responding! I have an appoinment with Dr. Cahill for a consultation, But we have run into a snag with the insurance co. Because I am a diabetic I'm gonna have the r n y instead of the lap band. I am very excited, and so badly need this to happen. I just don't know what I'm going to do if the insurance falls thru.
Colleen,
I had my consult with Dr. Cahill today. He is wonderful! I, too, am diabetic and the RNY immediately cures diabetes. I am only on the pill, but he says immediately following surgery I will no longer have to take it. You know, it has something to do with the whole physiological thing concerning diabetes. Anyway, he'll explain this. Also, when I called for an appointment, I received a callback from Tony. He explained which consults I would need to schedule and what numbers to call (Cardio, Psych, Pulmonology). What's great is that Cardio is on the same floor, down the hall from Dr. Cahill and Psych is right in the same office. Pulmo is right next door at the hospital! So everything is easy. Good luck with insurance. It WILL NOT fall through. We have to believe this.
