I am so depress I need some help here !!!!!!!!!

I am so depress I went to the lap band Dr on 10/30/06. He said yes I was a candiate for the lap band. So now he writes all the rx for all the test I need to get the surgury. Now I have HMO of IL. I did have a referral to go to the Dr. I did fax all the rx to her office to get referrals. I keep calling asking for my referrals. The nurse tells me she has not sign them or she has not written them up. But all I know is that the office has not called me to get my referral so I can make appointments to get what I need done. I don't care if its during the holiday. I will do what I have to do to get ready to get the surgury. I told them I need these referrals and that I will be on vacation next week. I would like to get as many as I can when I am vacation. I don't want to use my all vacation days up to get these done. I just don't why she is taking her time to write my referral. I have this Dr for 20 yrs. I had to wait for 3 months to get a referral to go to the Dr who is going to do the surgury. Can anybody give me advice? I don't want to start up a bunch of stuff at the Dr office or get nasty with anybody at the Dr office. I am really really biting my tongue. I do pay insurance Premuim and they are not cheap either. Please can someone help me. I am so close but not close enough yet. And I do want to keep my patience about this.

I would make an appointment to see the Dr. maybe this Dr. is not in favor of Lap Band. Not only that she will have the RX pad in her hand while you are there. So if it is the office staff that is holding you up they won't be able to any longer. I hope that this helps. The only choice is to get another Provider. Can your Lap Band Dr. make the referrals for the appointments and HMO pay? Check with HMO.

Well I am getting closer! I called the Dr Office again and the Dr answered. I asked her about the referrals. She said I can come and get the referrals, so today I am going to get my referrals and start the calling to get my test done. I am so so excited, it getting closer thiis is my Christmas present to me I am just so ready for this. I just can't wait to let OB know my Surgery date and all the info that comes with that after. I want to support others also.
