medicare/medicaid coverage of ps

I am so frustrated the doctors need to warn you that sometimes no matter how much exercise you do it may just not be enough. If public aid and/or medicare is going to cover the surgery they need to do follow up care as well and not see it as cosmetic..i have severe back problems with a dorsal spinal column stimulator and the excess skin is not good on my back and depression is bad also. So if anyone can help please give me any info thanx depressed at home

I was told that medicaid covers plastic surgery! I have rashes under my stomach and they said that was reason enough for them to cover it. Who have you talked to? Nikki

Nicole, If you know of any doctors who accept medicare/medicaid in the illinois area i would travel in a heart beat...please share the info if you have it...thanks a bunch

I was told they will do plastics with my insurance but you have to take pictures of infections and things like that to prove that you need the surgery not just want it. I live almost 3 hours away from the hospital that I had RNY but the drive was worth it Nikki [email protected]
