acid reflux

I am over 4 years out with rny and am suffering nightly with acid in my throat about 2 hours after I go to sleep, despite prevacid and sleeping with 3 pillows under my head. anyone else experiencing this please write if you are and if you found a solution for it.... I also do not eat or drink 3 hours before going to bed without it helping.........thanks Diane

I have not had my surgery, but I have had acid reflux Have you discussed this with your PCP? There are a lot of other medications that you can try, and he needs to try them until you find the one that works for you. If left unchecked, you can get some serious ulcers from the excess stomach acid. You definately want to avoid that at all cost, especially since you are post surgery.
