I met with the dietician yesterday. One of things she told me was having to get all my medications into either chewable or liquid form for 8 weeks after surgery. And I have a ton of scripts! I have Medco for my plan. Am I going to have to get all new scripts for this? Man, that could cost a lot of dough!

Hi Lisa You may find that after sugery you are off alot of your RX's. They will give you new scrips when you leave the hospital. Dr. Guske is my surgeon too and he said it was OK to take the couple of pills that I have left. Both are really small. So check with him. Best of luck on your surgery and if I can answer any questions let me know. Regards and hugs, Ronna

Hi Lisa. I wouldn't plan on getting liquid or chewable medications for 8 weeks post-op. You only have to crush your pills or take liquid meds for the first month. I would check with Dr. Guske as well. As Ronna said, you might not be on all your meds post-op. It could be a waste of your money. Best wishes, Lucy
