Good morning Lisa. I know that I sent you an email from home but I'm answering you here as well. Thanks for your response. I know that you are in good hands with Dr. Guske. He is the best. I've known him for several years and have worked with him at my hospital. When I had my surgery I was 383.4 pounds. I can tell you that the surgery and my diligence has paid of big time. I feel so much better and life is worth living. 14 months later, I weigh 168.2 pounds. I will be seeing Dr. Guske this Thursday for a post-op follow-up check. I had hernia surgery last month - it wasn't planned but an emergency because I had a strangulated hernia - blood supply to my bowels was cut off as my hernia area got twisted. Yikes, that was painful. I'm much better now. Dr. Guske did a fantastic job and my incision is healing up nicely. He was so thoughtful and contained the scar so that I could still wear two piece swimsuits. If you have any questions or want to talk, please email me. I'll try to help you anyway I can.
