moving to southern il

hi everyone...i need some help.i am moving to southern il and need to find a rental place. anyone from down there know anything? i have a job interview friday in effingham so anyplace surrounding there would be great...even as far as vandalia.thanx for any help. huggs christy

Hi Christy.... If I were I would start looking in the local papers online around here they include: www.effinghamdailynews.com or go to Illinois newspapers online and look for surrounding cities. I don't know what you are looking to pay for rent but in Effingham you can rent a townhouse for around $500 and on up. If you are looking to rent a house you can find them anywhere from $350 and on up. Altamont is a nice small town right next to Effingham and has houses and townhomes for rent. Vandalia is about a 30 min drive to Effingham and has apartments from $250 and on up. Good luck....we don't live around there anymore but grew up in the area and have lots of family in that area! Not much to do entertainment wise but a good place to raise a family. Hugs, Dawn
