Gurnee Support Group

We used to have a great support group up in the Gurnee area but it seems as though it's no longer together. I'm wondering if anyone knows of another group up in the Northern 'burbs. What happened to the old group? It was one of the biggest and best support groups in this area!?!

Hi Beth ... there are a few out of ENH that hold meetings in various locations throughout the month (Vernon Hills, Highland Park Hospital, Park Center-Glenview, Evanston Hospital) and then a different one in Northbrook as well. I think I've heard of others also, but don't have details. If you'd like more info on the ones I've mentioned above, please let me know. --Karyn

Beth, I would love info on support groups in Northbrook, Glenview, and Highland Park. Are these groups for weight loss surgery in general, or are they specific to bypass or lap-band etc.? Thanks, Katie R.

Hi Katie ... these groups are open to pre-ops, post-ops, lap-band, DS, and RNY ... I'll email the info I currently have. I'm located on the NW side of the city, if you're interested in driving with me to any of these, please let me know. Karyn
