One of the more active programs is Illinois Bariatric Center in Clinton...near Decatur so it might still meet your area requirements. Dr. Sidney Rohrscheib and now Dr. Tull have a very large, no pun intended, gastric WLS practice going there. Dr. Rohrscheib seems to be turning his focus to the Lap Band lately but has a lot of RNY patients too so you should be able to find an answer with them. Good luck on your search.
btw...I had a band installed March 21st and couldn't be happier.
there is the comp clinic in springfield. YOu have to come up with money to go there to start and you have to go to every month for 2 groups. it takes at least a year before you can nsee the surgon. It might take longer bec ause last we heard one of the dr dropped out so now there is only one? thats where I go though. It is a great program but lots of waiting
Peoria Surgical Group in Peoria also is very good. Dr. Marshall did my lap RnY in November and I have not had any problems. As with anything, there is a long wait, it took almost a year before I could have my surgery, and that was without any insurance problems.

Check out the COMP clinic in Springfield. It's a bit of a drive from where you are, but the comprehensive approach and staff are well worth that. The wait noted by another poster is subjective to each person. They want to make sure that you are ready for this life-changing event and do everything possible to help you prepare for that. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at [email protected] and good luck to you!
