Let me see here .... hmmmm it is now 4 yr since I have had the surgery. (RnY) I lost a total of 230 lb. I was 425. It took about 100lb loss befor ppl started to actualy notice. Now I tend to fluctuate between 195 and 200.(I am 6'1'') I learned that different parts loose at different times. Just be patient. Funny thing. I still have the last pair of wranglers I wore day of surgery, also the Polo shirt and the shoes. NONE of them fit. ( obveusly haha ) pants were 54 waist (now I am a 34) shirt was a 3X ( now a medium) shoes were a 9 1/2 EEE (now I wear 8 1/2 W). It takes time but eventualy you will be where you want. just hang in there. Sounds like you are doing great.

The surgery itself went well. I was motivated and as a result healed nice. I was up and out of bed as soon as I was in my room and into a chair then shortly after that I was up and walking. I had no complications to date. I have lost about 73 pounds in 3 months and three weeks. I hope to loss a total of 79 pounds by the end of the month but how knows. I am lossing slowly. I ride a sationary bike every day for 5 to 8 miles as day and I walk and such. I eat limited carbs and lost of protein and water. My tummy just does not want to let go of it's fat. I have lost a lot and have shrunk yet my belly is fustrating me. I really do not know what I can do to get it to shrink.

I know SORT OF how you feel. The day befor my surgery my Dr. called and said his assistants sister had been killed in a car accident the night befor and thus would have to postpone my surgery for about 2 weeks. I know it is selfish and very self centered but I was TICKED to say the least. But eventualy the time came and I had the surgery. Like the last reply stated, it is life changing. Hang in there. It will all work out for the better. You may not know it now, but there is a reason why things are happening in the order and manner they are.

My blue cross has the exclusion spelled out in the policy. I was self pay, it was around 20K but my husband and I both agree it's the best money we ever spent. it has given us "me" back.
Topic: England to Idaho in April. Have a MidBand
I am moving from England to Nampa, Idaho in or around April and am trying to put out a few feelers before I get there.
I had a laparoscopic MidBand in April of this year. I know this brand is really popular in Europe, but not so much in the States.
Can anyone offer any advice? Or knows of anywhere they use the MidBand, that I might go to for fills.
Have lost 70lbs and nearly 4 dress sizes in the last 6 months, which I am thrilled with.
thanks for any help.

I am so sorry to hear that. Like you said God has other plans. I totally understand where you are coming from. My insurance wouldn't pay for anything so I had to put off my surgery until I could do it myself. I wish you the best of luck and know although it is a month away, it is a life changing event and it will be so worth it!

I was suposed to have surgery this am at 11:00. I went for a EGD on 10/27/2006 and when they put me under I went in to a full blown asthma attack, and they had to give me a shot of steroids. I went back on 10/31/2006 to repeat EGD and they gave me a shot before they put me under. The doctor called me last night about 7:00pm and said, since I had the shots, it would take my body longer to heal. and he would feel much better if we waited until it was out of my system. Ok how long 30 days. I cried and cried. I have fought with my insurance for a year to get approval. and now I have to get sick. I do have asthma, and I always get sick this time of the year, I was trying so hard not to. But I guess God has other plans. I am just so sad today. I would be in my room right now with it done and overwith.
