Topic: RE: any one try to find a lapband surgeon that will accept medicare?
I haven't heard about this yet. I am in the process. I have gone to the surgeon's seminar. They know I am wanting Lap Band and they haven't said Medicare isn't paying for it and I asked Medicare just last week if they pay for it and they said yes as long as the Dr. says you need it. Where did you hear this from? I am very curious to see what is going on.
Thanks for sharing the info that you had on it.
blessings to you,
Andrea Walker

It is my understanding that Medicare will not cover this proceedure anymore. I know That Idaho Medicaid does though.

hey, Andrea and Sandra, I just read your notes and wanted to know about the Seminar the 27th. I origianally was going to Post Falls, but it was winter and did not want to go up the hill (Lewiston ) to a seminar so someone talked me into gooing to Everett, Washington because I just had to look at a video online and not attend a seminar. (I have 2 years, and everything on the net you can imagaine) so they said I would not need to go to one. However, that is not working out so now I need to change my efforts to Post Falls (much closer for one thing) . Do I have to go to a Seminar? And, because it is a 2? hour drive at night, I would have to take some more time off work. I would not drive home afterwards. Any suggestions?

Topic: Welcome Aangel to the loser's bench everyone!!
{{{{{{Aangel}}}}}} Welcome home and welcome back to cyberspace when you get that far!!
Aangel's lap RNY was done that past Monday, April 12, in Idaho Falls, and she came through with flying colors! I spoke to her husband on Monday (LOOOOOOOOVE that rancher's accent, I'm still whimpering with homesickness *g*) and with Aangel yesterday. She got home Wednesday night and had not the most restful night of her life. She's one of those oddballs like me who thought the hospital bed was a truly helpful and comforting thing heehee....
So now she's in the totally baby steps phases of her new life. As I DS'er I couldn't answer her specific questions very well, so I'm sure that in addition to your well wishes, she would be very grateful for any advice/words of experience from those who've walked that same path.
