Topic: Costs associated with gastric bypass boise idaho, please help!
Hi all,
I have been reading your posts for awhile now and am finally ready to commit to weight loss surgery. I have contacted my insurance and they say there is an exclusion, so my question to you is this. If you used Dr. Ediger or Dr. Oakley in Boise, how much is the procedure and what other things have to happen before you have the surgery? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

Don't be afraid...I would still have gotten the band if I knew my band were going to slip. Because my insurance covered the first surgery, they are going to cover the 'complication'. Fortunatly, my band slipped up, over my pouch onto my esophagus; I don't have any pain/vomiting/nausea, anything. Sometimes, when people's bands slip down, they have to go in and have surgery immediately. We are taking it slow...hopefully letting my stomach rest for a few days will allow the band to slip back into place. I feel like I have some sort of restriction today (no saline in my band)...I get imaging later this week.
I hear Dr. Korn is a really good surgeron! My mother-in-law is a family practice nurse in Boise and has referred a couple of patients to him. If you want to talk with someone about Dr. Korn, I'm sure that she would speak with you.
Cheers,
Krista.
Topic: Dr. Robert Korn
I was just wondering if anyone here in Idaho has had Dr. Korn for their surgeon for a lap band procedure. I think he is very qualified, but just wanted to hear from any of his patients. How long did it take from initial visit to actual surgery date? Since I am awaiting for all test results and insurance approval to take place, am I supposed to be "dieting" now before I see the nutritionist, and see the Dr. for the 2nd visit. Of course I have been pigging it out, but I know I am just sabotoging myself, so I have to get a grip. I feel like this is going to be the last time I will be able to enjoy a hamburger, fires and coke - so you probably can relate huh?

Oh my gosh, that is so scary. I am anticipating having the lap band, but when I hea something like that, it totally freaks me out. is your insurance going to pay for the slippage?

Hi! I can't help you with a Salmon support group (there isn't even one in Poky), but I am banded too, and also by Dr. O'Byrne. I went in for a fill yesterday and Carolyn and Paula said that there was a guy from New U on this board...I didn't know who it was.
I'd love to keep in contact...I found out yesterday that my band slipped up off of my stomach and is now just around my esophagas. I find out today when I will have surgery again. Cheers, Krista
