Don't be afraid...I would still have gotten the band if I knew my band were going to slip.  Because my insurance covered the first surgery, they are going to cover the 'complication'.  Fortunatly, my band slipped up, over my pouch onto my esophagus; I don't have any pain/vomiting/nausea, anything.  Sometimes, when people's bands slip down, they have to go in and have surgery immediately.  We are taking it slow...hopefully letting my stomach rest for a few days will allow the band to slip back into place.  I feel like I have some sort of restriction today (no saline in my band)...I get imaging later this week.  I hear Dr. Korn is a really good surgeron!  My mother-in-law is a family practice nurse in Boise and has referred a couple of patients to him.  If you want to talk with someone about Dr. Korn, I'm sure that she would speak with you. Oh my gosh, that is so scary.  I am anticipating having the lap band, but when I hea something like that, it totally freaks me out.  is your insurance going to pay for the slippage?
