Congratulations on your surgery date. I have my initial consult with dr. Oakley on Nov. 19th. I am hoping that I will not have to wait very long between that appointment and my surgery (thats if I am approved by dr oakley. Can you give me an idea of what was expected from you when you went? Also did he give you any special instructions?

Hi Ruberta I will be there on the 4th also. I am so excited. Are you going to be in Boise or Meridian. I will be at the Boise Hospital. I will look you up.
I think most people who dont take care of themselve regain. I want to be healthy so I will do whatever it takes to make this happen and keep it off.

I know someone that had the surgery about 8 years ago. She was close to 400 lbs. She lost down to a size 6. She gained it back due to her own actions. DRINKING ALCOHOL. Empty sugars. She still did not get back to her original size. She hovers around a size 20 now. I really believe she could lose it again if she put her mind to it.
I am having my surgery on the 4th with Dr. Oakley and my mind is made up. I will succeed. You can too.

I am getting lots of neg. from everyone. and really discouraged. after 5 years do you know anyone who has retained there lose? I almost wish I never told anyone. any wisdom
