Topic: Personal Training from "someone who's been there!"
I MADE MY GOAL - well only 26# from weight goal BUT got my certification in nutrition and PT.  I am specializing in bariatric/metabolic patients as well as those who just don't feel comfortable working out yet.  You can achieve your goals.  The surgery is just a tool - trust me, I know!

Working with a personal trainer is one of the fastest, easiest, most successful ways to improve your health.  A qualified personal trainer who has “been there" understands even more! I can help you set realistic goals, determine strategies, and provide motivation and the encouragement you need.  Most personal trainers aren’t familiar with the special needs of morbid obesity, arthritis and diabetes. I can work with you to plan a safe, efficient program that will enable you to reach your health goals. It won’t be easy but it will be worth it!

My goal was to be a personal trainer/coach - I am now living my dream.  Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in exercise coaching.  I am available to my clients 24/7, my gym is open 24 hours and in four (4) locations in the Treasure Valley.

I wish you well in your health and success!

Topic: RE: Boise Doctors

It depends on what type of surgery your friend is having.  Dr. Cahn & Dr. Anderson do not do the RNY.  They only do lap band.  I would think that Dr. Oakley, who is also very proficient in the DS surgery, would definitely do a great job.  I've also heard Dr. Korn is very good.

I had surgery with Dr Oakley in March of 2008 and loved him and his office. They are all great and i have done great. Best luck to your friend. If anything she can have a meeting with multiple Drs in the area to see who fits her needs best as well.

I had my surgery done by Oakley in Boise as well. I love his office and have done great this far. Couldnt ask for a better Dr or staff. I agree he can be arrogant, but he does know his stuff and very straight forward, which I personally like.
Best of luck to you and your future. Its a crazy journey, but one well worth it.

Had my surgery with Oakley AWESOME is all I can say. If you go to anyone else you are messing up. I talked to several docs in Boise before I made my decision. Wouldn't trust anyone else and I would do it all over again anyday. Nov. 4th was my day
Take care

New here, first post!  Hi!  Having surgery December 30th, but in Las Vegas.  My dad had RNY done 3 years ago and looks fantastic so I am going to the same doctor out there.

Happy to be here, hope to make lots of new friends!
