I actually did both appointments in Boise. I went to Jen Hoosier (not sure if I spelled that right) to have my dietary evaluation. She is actually out of St. Lukes in Boise. For the psych evaluation I just looked up some places in Boise and eventually found one to go to. If you call Dr. Oakleys office they should be able to help you find places to go. They do not set up the appointments for you. But I am sure they would be able to get you the information.
Hi,
I live in Weiser and I have heard there is one in Boise but that's a little bit of a drive for me after working all day.
Anyways, I would be willing to share ideas/support if needed.
I readlly think there needs to be a group up this direction to help us out cause I know there are quit a few that have had surgery.
Thanks,
Michelle
Welcome Hi you just joined. Just write down your questions or comments and someone will write back. I like this forum. I just started the process this site has been alot of help. I have my first appointment with Oakley this month. I live in North Central Idaho. I have found that there is a lot of people here willing to chat.
I just noticed your post. I don't come to this forum very much anymore, but like to pop in every now and then and see how everyone is doing.
Anyway. . .I live in Boise and I had Lap Band and am very please with the results. There are a couple of support groups here, but it's quite a hike from Payette, especially over that pass in the winter. . .LOL!
But try this. . . this link http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/ID/a,list/type,0/ wil take you to the List for all OH members in Idaho. There are pages and pages! You might scroll through the list and find members who are close to you and if there isn't a support group, maybe you can start one. Oh even offers courses to become a certified support group leader.
Hope this helps!
