Your not alone Diana, I too was the same way. I got all my ducks in a row, and that was how I made it through the last couple of weeks before surgery. I got my food I would need, I cleaned my house, I even made out my will. Sounds morbid but it made me feel better, and I could go into surgery knowing I had done everything I should, and I was so calm that scared me!
I can't tell you the weird dreams I was having, sometimes now I have them about eating too much! But I think its your bodys way of adjusting. Your normal don't worry... I'm 4 mo. post op and down almost 60 lbs. I feel 10 yrs. younger and have more energy than I have had in years. Good Luck to you, heal quickly and join us loosers on the other side.

Congrats LeAnn on your surgery, I wish I would have had it done at your age. (I'm 40)
I think I live too far away to be your angel but I would like to wish you well on your journey. You'll be amazed how well you will feel.
I would take chapstick, a neck pillow, anti-bacterial wipes, and anti-bacterial bodywa****ook a nightgown but tried to use it and the IV got in the way, so you might as well leave that at home.
I too had lap RNY, and I have 5 3/4" scars which I never have even felt, and now they are starting to fade. I'm almost at a 60 lb. loss and way over 30" loss everywhere.
Good Luck and heal quickly, remember walking will help you get your energy back just don't overdo in the beginning. And if you have any questions we'll be here for ya...
Topic: RE: IN NEED OF DR. IN BOISE AREA
I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth, I had Dr. Valentine. He is wonderful, he also does Laproscopic which was important to me. He is one of the most personalble Drs. I have met. I am almost 4 mo. post op he did a wonderful job, and I always feel great when I leave his office (learned something new) his staff are great and the hospital he uses is acrossed the road from his office. That was important to me because I live 2 1/2 hrs. away. Hope this helps, he also is on this website if you want to check him out. Good Luck...
Topic: Surgery next Tuesday, need an angel.
Hi everyone,
I just found out today that my surgery date got bumped from a month from now, to next week. I still do not have an angel, and was looking for someone called to the job. I am a 21 year old female in Boise, ID. I will be having a lap RNY done. If you have any advise, or want to take me under your wings, let me know. email me at [email protected]
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Hi everyone!!!
I'm having my surgery on June 1st by Dr. Oakley. I'm very excited of the thought of being on the loosing side, I also know how important exercise is!!!!I know I will do much better and be faithful if I could meet someone to walk with on a regular schedule. Let me know if there is any groups out there or anyone who would be interested--I live in Boise---

My doc is Dr. Christian Oakley in Boise. He is awesome, very understanding and compassionate as is his staff. I HIGHLY recommend him. Also, he operates at an excellant hospital in Boise, St. Luke's Regional Hospital.

Sally,
I use Dr. Valentine he is in Nampa about 20-30 min from boise. He is just a WLS Dr and general surgery but I bet he or his staff could recommend a family doctor that understands WLS. His nurse is Tammy 208-463-1455. They are wonderful and offer a great support meeting as well.
I have been so happy to have choosen him and his staff.
Good luck.
Kristin

Our family will be moving to the Boise area, actully, Meridian, in about a year. Our insurance is Tricare (retired Navy). Can anyone reccomend a good Dr. who does WLS, or at least understands it? My Dr. here is San Diego can't help me.

Angela,
I know how you feel. Mine was also postponed because of HA1c too high. I will be praying for you to get your blood pressure lower. We will be have to do it. Keep hope and believe. Bonnie
