Topic: Thinking this over. Need advice.
The Idaho group doesn't seem to be very chatty. I hope I can get some advice/encouragement etc. here. I am finally thinking about surgery. As others before me, I tried diets and I fail them. How will this be any different? Why can I do great with other areas of my life and fail at my own health? Can you recommend a doctor in the Boise area? Are there any local support groups I can attend before surgery?
Thank you,
Dianna
Topic: RE: SURGERY NEXT TUESDAY NEED INPUT!!
Good luck Alicia. On Tuesday I'll be at work in Boise, but I'll be thinking about you and saying prayers for you. The beginning of a whole new life is always exciting and it sounds like you've been wanting this dream to come true for a long time. Me too, I just never started thinking about the surgery way until lately. I wish I had done it earlier when I was younger. You'll have so much of your life to look forward to and enjoy. Yippee!! You ARE deserving of all the happiness in the world. Hang in there Alicia and remember to say .. I Can do it! I want it and I deserve it. So I WILL do it.
Sending you warm hugzzzz Dianna

Topic: SURGERY NEXT TUESDAY NEED INPUT!!
This is an excerpt from an email i wrote to a new friend...i wanted to share this and see if anyone can understand how Im feeling and if they felt that way at all.....thanks!!
I have been up all night! So that will tell you how excited I am about this surgery. This surgery is, for me, a fantasy come true!!!!!!!!!...i mean the start of my BIGGEST DREAM AND FANTASY that I have always wanted since i was a child. To be thin!! And as sick as I have become health wise during the past several years, I cant wait to feel healthy again and lose a lot of my health problems. For me, it just seems too good to be true! That thought makes me nervous. I cant even imagine something so wonderful happening to me...it has been my biggest wish for all of my life!! I am 40, so thats a long time! Can you relate to what i am saying? I just never had a dream come true like this before and so i cant believe it could really happen to me, and i dont want to make it not happen somehow by my negative thoughts. And I guess I feel like I am not deserving of my biggest dream come true! I hope someone out there can relate, i know I sound weird, and i am feeling weird the closer I get to Tuesday!! Thanks so so much for reading and Im looking forward to some input....or even advice. Or how bout a psychic out there to tell em all will be well??

Topic: Photos for Magazine Needed
Hello to All!
I hope you're all doing well! I of course seem to have disappeared again, w/ school back in session, it's my "never bored" time of life that many of you have heard me talk about for years. :-)
Right now, we're looking for good, clear before and after photos for those who have lost at least 100# for possibilities in the magazine for our B&A section. I know the magazine is always looking for stories, but the Photos Dept. is only looking at the B&A section.
If you're interested and have clear photos that we can use, please send them to me at [email protected] w/ the subject B&A Magazine Photos and w/ the authorization form, or a note that you've sent it another way (fax or mail). If we already have one on file, let me know. I won't use any photos until I have that form on file. You can find a copy of it under Reaching Out... If you need one mailed to you, let me know and I'll do that also (I do them in batches, so some might have requested and don't have theirs yet.)
The photos need to be clear, good size and quality and full body...or knees up. We want our magazine (and site) to look great!
I'd love to clean up all the blurred photos and I have volunteers doing that. We currently are doing OK on volunteers for processing photos, but we do need help, someone who has the patience to help keep an eye out for broken links and also look for inappropriate photos, as well as good photos which can be used in the magazine. Send me a note if you're willing to help out on this type of "spy" work.
I do know therPe are many photos on the site which are great for the magazine. We just don't have the crew to look through them all anymore. So, please let us know you're there and that you are interested.
Oh, and just 'cuz you send it all in, there are no guarantees that you'll get added to the magazine. I don't make final decisions, I just submit to the higher ups. We also only use 8 photos per issue, so you might be added, but not right away. And if you are added, I always try to get a free copy of that magazine out to you.
Have a great night!
Love ya!
Topic: Photo shoot anyone?
Thank You! to all the volunteers who have participated in our photos library.
We are looking for preop and post op patients for modeling in our magazine and on our website.
If interested, please contact Jeff Cooper at [email protected] for information.
We would like to take a few photos of several members doing everyday types of activities.
If you can help, please contact Jeff today!

Topic: RE: What insurance should I buy? Any suggestions?
Blue Cross through the Federal Govt. is the only Idaho Policy that pays for the surgery, that I know of. Aetna and United Health Care generally pays for the surgery. Good Luck.
