To tell or not to tell...

Hello All, I'm just wondering if you chose to tell your co-workers prior to WLS. I work in a small office with me being the largest by 150lbs. They are nice ladies but I don't want to feel that I need their approval. What did the rest of you do? Kadie

I work in a small office as well. I waited until I had my surgery date and then I told my boss what I needed time off for. At first she did not really want to be supportive but then all of a sudden she wanted to know about the surgery. I gave her my docs website and once she read through the material, she has a better understanding of what I am going through. I just decided I am doing this for my health and that is pretty much the message I gave to her and my co-workers. In a small office it's pretty hard to not let them know what is going on. Hope this helps. Oh and now that I am losing...they are all so happy for me. It's great! hugs Lori

Oh my gosh! Is this Lori that I worked with at West One Bank...oh about 10 years ago! I think so! It is Molly (use to be Walker) Vandomelen. How are you! Let me know if this is you, but I have a good feeling it is! Hugs, Molly
