Please pray for my friend...

Hi everyone, I had my surgery on 8/8/01 and currently I am at goal and doing well. A friend of mine (actually my sweetheart) needs his surgery very badly and his insurance (UHC) will not pay. His church friends and I are trying to raise the money necessary for him to have surgery. Please visit his website...www.helpsaveavoice.com. Hi Amy - I have UHC and they approved on the first letter after only 2 wks or so. I am curious why they would deny him. I have gone to www.helpsaveavoice.com and read that. I don't have sleep apnea or any other major problem except obesity and insulin resistance. Maybe he should try for the lap-band although if they denied the roux en y, I doubt that would matter. Keep trying - there is an attorney in CA that I believe takes cases pro bono because he was denied and had to fight the insurance companies to get them to do it. It's his personal mission to get the ins. co to grant approval. I will get his name and give it to you if you want it. In the meantime - good luck to you and Jim. I'll keep you in my thoughts.
