I am new here and need local friends

Hello fellow Idaho Spuds,
I am new to this site.  My name is Randee Sue but most people call me Rue.  I just had Reux En Y Gastric Bypass Tuesday, December 1,2009.  I am looking for local people who have gone through this surgery to help me in my journey to better health and more mobility.

Hi Rue, I am new to the Boise area and had my surgery on June 5th in Seattle, so my post ops are there....I attend support group at St. Lukes in Meridian.  I am also looking for people to go thru this with.

I'm getting prepared (or trying to) for my surgery at the end of September.  I'm just in the beginning stages and don't really know what to expect or what I need to prepare for mentally.  Would love to connect with people in the Meridian/Boise area to share information and "best practices" with to get more comfortable with what's to come.

Anyone out there attend the support group in Meridian and if so what day time is it?  Do they allow pre-op's to join in?
