Denied

Got my letter from medicaid today I was denied. It said need documentation of mood disorder and post- operative plan. I allready had my psych appt and dietation plan done. My Dr's assistant is working on it but I just thought it would be no problem getting approved. Has any elese had problems with their first part of the process getting denied? Any Ideas  Help!!!! It's hard to get anyone at the office to answer questions well they didn't get the letter yet. Mean while I have been doing a 700 calorie diet to loose the weight my doctor wanted me to loose.        Lisa
